The Inside Scoop

Hello all,

(all currently consists of my cat and me. He sits next to me as I type. I'm okay with that)

Anyway, today I started my first Blog entry. It was a tad boring...I mean who really wants to read me writing about how dissatisfied I was with my choice of lunch. But, I was always told that writing down what you feel is a sort of therapy...and boy, do I ever need therapy.

I must say though... it felt really good to blog today. It was a sense of freedom. Not like the carefully orchestrated "blogs" that you so carefully construct on you myspace. Almost everyone wants to make their myspace seem like they are so happy and/or content...I cannot say I have not conformed to this idea also...for shame. But here, I plan to be open and honest. Even if it turns out that I am the only one who ever read the crap that I spew. It feels good regardless.

Now that I have validated this to myself, I will let you know a little bit about me. I tend to be a private person...but for the most part, it seems that I can be an open book when you and I least expect it. (Pardon the Lifehouse puns)

About me: let's see...where do I start?

1. I love the band: LIFEHOUSE.
(As if that wasn’t obvious already)
Not to be cheesy, but their music can be very inspiring! If you listen to the lyrics, they truly do have wonderful meaning to them. Not to mention, they do write their own songs and play the instruments. Some people have mistaken their songs as 'depressing'? Which in actuality, their songs all seem to give a sense of hope. A triumph, if you will. Being able to overcome personal issues, emotions, and looking forward with a positive attitude. This is what I needed in my life. I have struggled with many personal issues over the last 15 years. Up until 2000, I was sort of lost in my life. Their music has truly helped me believe that things may get bad sometimes, but they do get better. Some people have church, where as I have Lifehouse. Yes, it sounds cheesy. But, I have been to several of their concerts and it still remains the same...they are awesome. Plus, they are super-nice, very grounded. It inspires one to take up playing the guitar even?? A work in progress...

2. I love cats. Plain and simple. I don't know why it is such an intense love and adoration for these animals, but if you ever meet me, you'll know what I'm about. Ever since I could walk, I was carrying a cat around. I just love them, they have such great personalities. They just want to be loved just like the rest of us. And I'm here to supply it.

3. I have several ambitions in life. These too, are a work in progress. You have to keep the dream alive if you want to succeed in life. I love to create things. So that is the road I plan to take. I don't know how to get there yet, but believe me, I am researching the route!

4. I love to write. I may not be the most eloquent speaker, but I sure have a lot to say. I plan on writing a book one day, about my life. Basically it will be a self-help/memoir style epic *fingers-crossed*, but most of all, I just want people to be able to relate to my experiences and know that they are not alone. That in it self, would be enough for me. Hopefully this dream will come to fruition one day.

Well, I will spare you the rest of my life's story for now...can't give it all away on the first day...LOL.

This has been nice.

Thanks for reading,
