Hi there...Is your mommy home?

Well, it's official. I am now entering into 2011...into my 34th year of life...with braces.
It has been a long time coming. I don't disregard the fact that everyone says I am blessed with a "young face" or "good skin". But all of the sales people that come to my door have already been asking if "the lady of the house is available?" or "are your parents home?" so now it really makes for an even worse attempt as presenting myself as a responsible adult.
{Insert awkward picture here}(Thank you Hipstamatic! You make us already freckly-face ladies look like we have rashes all over)

I must say to all of the friends and family who said, "Braces? What for? You didn't need braces!" I say "PSHAW! Have you ever seen these chompers?!" My sister knows. The queen of ridicule (as I remember growing up with her) In her snidest of snide voices "your tooth should have a sign on it that says next tooth one mile!" *cackle! cackle!* {she sounds like a witch when she laughs} but I love her.
Oh, and to my dear friend Marina, who said "No!!" and covered her mouth when I told her I was going to get braces to get rid of my 'Madonna gap'...thanks for telling me it gave me character. I guess it kind of did. I never realized that before. It was just my flaw that brought shame and embarrassment prior to that. Hopefully the content of my character can consist of other things less gappy.

The Random Cat Series

Well it has been awhile since I have written anything here...a lot has happened lately! I have been a busy little bee!
Between going to LOTS of music concerts, meeting my Idol: Jason Wade (from Lifehouse), seeing Conan O'Brien LIVE (=AWESOME!), traveling and getting married (YIKES!! I finally did it!) and always working and trying to get myself together...there hasn't been much time to write. But I will try to get caught up here eventually with all the things that I have been up to.

So for now, I present to you, my newest project. Photos of random cats that I meet. The concept is simple. I LOVE CATS. CATS LOVE ME. Why not take a picture of all the new friends that I make? Most photos to-date will be taken in Hipstamatic format (because my Iphone is the handiest device I have).

"Joey"- He lives at RECORDS in Sacramento, CA. He likes to greet you as soon as come in the door. He's a sweetie. He's the only one so far that I actually know his name. All others are given a name by me. Whatever I feel suits them. :)

"Blue"- Redmond, OR. I named him blue because he looks like a Russian Blue breed. He is a dirty little alley cat looking fellow. I called him and he was quite hesitant to come over, but he didn't run away. That is always a good sign of a friendly cat. Especially the free range outdoor cats that don't get enough love. They want to be loved! He finally came over and would not stop meowing at me! He definately needed someone to talk to! Glad I could lend an ear. Plus, he liked my jokes! LOL Well, I will keep up the posts when I meet new friends, I hope you cat lovers enjoy!

Hard habits to break

"It takes 14 to 21 days of repetitive behavior to form a new pattern in your brain. Once the pattern is formed, it becomes an automatic behavioral response. As you develop new healthy habits, they will begin to replace bad habits."

Well, I need to start forming some better habits! I always seem to give up about 10 days or less into trying to do something to better myself. So today, I will try again! I'll keep you posted!
